Our 3- to 6-Year-Old Classrooms are for children ages 3 to 6 years old. This blending of ages is based on Maria Montessori’s philosophy of a multi-age educational society. This 3-year age span guarantees that children at various stages of development can learn from and with each other. Our 3- to 6-Year-Old Classrooms include a tuition-free 4K program in collaboration with the Wausau School District and a 5K kindergarten program. Maria Montessori recognized the spontaneous interest that arises within each child at this age. It is through the child’s interest and active engagement that the love of learning arises. Montessori early childhood education should be to cultivate the child’s own natural desire to learn. At the center of the Montessori Method is your child. Your child’s individual interests motivate his or her choice of materials. Our experienced Montessori-trained teachers will demonstrate the appropriate use and method for each material and/or lesson and individually assist each child in the classroom. Our teachers observe and record each child’s individual progress.
